For Katie Volney, coming through for the client is key. Thanks to her four-plus years of experience in both in-house and agency settings, Katie understands that excellent client service goes hand-in-hand with meaningful results. She brings to Kohnstamm a passion for storytelling, the drive necessary for stories to land and break through, plus deep experience in Corporate Social Responsibility PR campaigns. Katie got her start in PR working for a national franchise salon brand, then pivoted to the agency side working for a great boutique PR firm, serving dozens of clients across a wide variety of industries. As a result, she accrued scores of great media relationships and secured career-making national placements with top tier outlets, such as The Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur, Real Simple and Mashable. Her work on behalf of the iconic non-profit Greater Good earned her a prestigious PRSA Classics award for Public Service. When she isn’t drafting a killer pitch, Katie is heavily involved with the Minnesota chapter of PRSA, helping to raise the bar for PR industry colleagues through professional development programming that helps them stay ahead of the latest trends in the field and prepare for a future in a fast-paced and very rapidly changing industry.
